Theo Wolvecamp - An Experimentalist in Isolation

The centenary of Theo Wolvecamp’s birth (1925-1992) provides a welcome opportunity for a new monograph on this highly original Dutch painter. Initially a member of the Experimental Group in Holland and Cobra, Wolvecamp forged his own path and created a unique body of work. This book features numerous previously unpublished images, mainly from private collections. It also includes little-known historical texts by Pim Brummelkamp, Leo Duppen, Ed Wingen, and others about his profound connection to nature and his often-overlooked spirituality. In addition, some of Theo’s close friends share warm reflections on his personal life.
